What we collect
- Business listings. What an owner or their representative sends us: business name, services, city, state, ZIP, contact links, description, photos links, ownership/identity description and any license details. Once we approve a listing, this information is public on KinPros. We never ask for a street address.
- Nominations. A business name, town and public business page someone recommends, plus an optional note. We use it to reach out to the owner. We only list a nominated business if the owner says yes.
- Claim requests. Your name, an email or business page, and how you’re connected to the business, so we can confirm you’re the owner.
- Correction reports and town requests. What you tell us needs fixing, or what service your town is missing. Please don’t include personal details.
- Spam protection. To stop bots, we count form sends per internet connection. We store only a scrambled (salted, one-way hashed) version of the address, never the address itself, and delete it once its one-hour window ends. We may also use Cloudflare Turnstile’s “I’m human” check.
What stays on your device
- Your location. When you tap “Show pros near me,” your browser gives KinPros your location so your phone can sort pros by distance. It isn’t sent to our servers or saved by us.
- Saved pros. Your ♡ saved list lives in your browser only.
- Messages you write with “Tell a pro what you need” are built on your device. You choose whether to copy and send them.
Photos and links to other sites
Work photos on a listing load from wherever the business hosts them (for example, an image link from their own site). Like any web page, that site can see your internet address when the photo loads. KinPros asks those sites not to receive which KinPros page you were on. Contact links (Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and others) take you to those apps, where their own privacy policies apply.
How we use information
To review, publish and correct listings, contact owners about their listings, confirm ownership claims, and decide where to look for more pros. Our hosting, database and spam protection are provided by Cloudflare. We don’t sell or rent information, and we don’t share it for advertising.
Your choices
Owners can ask us to update or remove their listing at any time by emailing info@builtbynuru.com from a contact method on the listing. Anyone can ask what we hold about them, or ask us to delete it, at the same address.
Listing rules
- Only list a business you own or are authorized to represent, and keep the details accurate.
- Only link photos you own or have permission to use.
- Only claim services, licenses and service areas you really have. Healthcare, dental, transportation, childcare and other licensed services must follow their state’s rules.
- Ownership and identity descriptions are self-reported. Don’t misrepresent them.
- We may edit for clarity, decline, hide or remove any listing, nomination or claim, especially if it’s inaccurate, misleading, offensive or reported as unsafe.
What KinPros is — and isn’t
KinPros helps you find and contact independent businesses. We review listings before they go live, but we don’t independently verify ownership, licenses, insurance, background checks, prices, quality or availability, and we don’t book, perform or guarantee any service. Check what matters to you directly with the business. KinPros isn’t medical, legal or financial advice. In an emergency, call 911.
KinPros is provided “as is.” To the extent the law allows, Nuru Holdings LLC isn’t responsible for dealings between customers and businesses found on KinPros.
Kids
KinPros isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes and contact
